Our new HF radio - IC-7300 with tuner has been installed at our EOC. It covers 160M through 6 M all modes. Configured to use the AARC laptop for the digital modes.

Radio Field Day - June 2021

The Algonquin Amateur Radio Club held a successful Field Day event during the last weekend of June. This was a joint effort with the Waltham club. Ron N1CNG was the host at the Crow Island airfield.

Numerous FEMA Independent online study courses can be taken free at FEMA EMI
You will need to register for a FEMA ID if you do not have one yet. It is a very simple procedure. On the main page left side, click on Register for FEMA SID, this will take you to the registration page where you will be assigned a User number and you will create your own password.
Recommended Courses are:
IS-100.C - Intro to Incident Command System
IS-200.C - Basic Incident Command System
IS-700.B - Intro to "NIMS" National Incident Management System
